The Bureau took part in commemoration of the 2022 International Human Rights Day. Activities for the day were held at Sunbird Capital Hotel in Lilongwe, led by the Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC). A pavilion for the Bureau was set up at the event, displaying works that the Bureau does in promoting human rights. Guest of honour was Minister of National Unity Hon. Timothy Mtambo.

The localized theme for 2022 International Human Rights Day was "Celebrating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - The Right to a Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment."
