Launch of toll-free phones at Mzuzu Police Station
The Legal Aid Bureau through the Bureau's Mzuzu office launched the toll-free line service in the northern part of the country. The phone which has been placed at the Mzuzu police station in Mzuzu is the first of it's kind in the region.
Speaking during the launch the Chief Legal Aid Advocate for the Bureau in the northern region Mr Chithope said the Bureau believe this will strengthen the working relationship with Malawi Police Service and ensure that justice is being served on time. Now Kanengo, Ndirande and Mzuzu Police Stations have the facility and will soon be followed by other stations across the country
